Social media, videography, and animation to elevate the To Be Read podcast’s production value

PAssion Project

Project Overview

This project pushed me to expand my skill set beyond static design. To strengthen my video editing and animation capabilities, I developed a podcast and produced memorable content by combining video production, graphic design, and social media strategy. The result was a consistent, engaging digital presence that helped me grow creatively while sharpening my technical and platform-focused skills.

With social media driving discovery, I focused on creating standout content tailored to the BookTok community (women ages 24-36) by tracking trends and translating them into original ideas. I filmed and edited high-quality video using professional equipment, then storyboarded each concept and wrote scripts to keep every piece clear, engaging, and intentional from start to finish.

This project ran in a repeating three-stage workflow. First was pre-production, where I researched, storyboarded, and wrote scripts for each episode. Next came recording and post-production, editing in Premiere and After Effects. Finally, I handled distribution by reviewing performance metrics, pulling the strongest clips, and scheduling posts to hit peak times and reach the target audience consistently.

The final deliverables included a digital brand guide, branded photography, and custom animated intro and outro assets for the podcast. Ongoing work covered video shoots, video and audio editing, and production-ready episodes for podcast platforms. Social media support stayed active with consistent, scheduled posting to maximize engagement, backed by regular metric reviews to shape future campaigns and content topics.
